"BRIDGES to Contemplative Living with Thomas Merton" - will meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month (June 13 & 27) in the Sanctuary at 1:00 PM with Rick Pike.

“Life is a spiritual journey. Contemplative living is a way of responding to our everyday experiences by consciously attending to our relationships. It deepens our awareness of our connectedness and community with others, becomes a positive force of change in our lives, and provides meaningful direction to our journey. Ultimately, contemplative living leads us to a sense of well-being, profound gratitude, and a clearer understanding of our purpose in life.” From Book One  “Entering the School of Your Experience”

Osprey Point Gathering
Tuesday, June 23 & July 14 at 5 PM
Hello Ladies of UUMH!

We are meeting on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 5 PM at Osprey Point, aka the Forest Beach Conservation Area off Forest Beach Road, in Chatham. It is a time for us to gather and socialize. Please bring a chair, and I suggest a sun hat and jacket-it can get windy. I usually bring a picnic dinner, but some only bring a snack or nothing—no need to RSVP. If you have questions, see Linda Jean.

"Tree of Hope" Community Initiative
We invite you to visit the "Tree of Hope" on the side lawn of the UU Meeting House, Main Street, Chatham. It is a place to seek comfort and share messages of loving kindness. Chatham resident Vangie Collins and several volunteers initiated the idea for this dedicated community space. The community can leave tokens and expressions of hope, including kindness rocks, ornaments, or heartfelt thoughts and prayers. The newly decorated tree was introduced with messages of hope. Thank you to all who participated.

Joan Konopka taught so many of us to slow down and savor the moment through meditation. We celebrate her life, her memory, and her spirit within us. Enjoy this 3-minute meditation practice which one of her students and friends, Dana McCoy, captured and shared with us. Click here.
